Strong response to sayit trial offers from International Speech and Language Therapists
Following a recent article in the RCSLT Bulletin, Speech and Language Therapists from as far afield as Northern Ireland and Singapore have accepted offers to trial the sayit products with patients with a number of diseases ranging from MND to Cerebral Palsy.

Edward Mandla, President of the Australian Computer Society, launched the sayit product suite at the CeBit technology showcase held recently in Sydney.

sayit™ Kent trials soon to begin
sayit™ is soon to enter trials in Kent in the United Kingdom. A group of speech and language therapists in the region will shortly begin to evaluate the sayit™ suite with a number of patients.

sayit Australasian Launch at CeBit Australia
The sayit product suite will be launched to the Australasian market by the President of the Australian Computer Society during CeBit Australia to be held at Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in May 2004.

New Version of sayit™ available for download!
The latest version of sayit has been released. This version - 2.2.2 - is now available for download for evaluation purposes and also for purchase. It contains both improvements and new features in Orator, Scanner and sayit Mouse, including the addition of a drag and drop ability with sayit Mouse. Click here to download.

International Symposium on ALS/MND

Optio has been invited to discuss and present the sayit™ software suite at the upcoming Professional Development Day for speech pathologists working in the area of Adult Neurology. This event will be held in Devomport on December 5th, 2003. Optio staff will also be available to answer specific questions and provide one on one demonstrations to delegates. Austrade has invited Optio to showcase the sayit™ software suite at the Hobart leg of its Showcasing Inovation roadshow series. sayit™ architect Scott Delaney will address the gathering, speak about the motivation behind sayit™ and also talk of the export sales success of the product to date. IT in Tasmania Video Conference
Optio has been invited to provide an overview of the sayit™ software suite and present a case study of its use by an English patient at the forthcoming IT in Tasmania event. This event will showcase the latest innovations in the ICT industry and is an initiative of the Tasmanian eHealth Association.

MNDA Annual General Meeting
Scott Delaney has accepted an invitation from the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Australia to speak at their annual general meeting in Adelaide. He will discuss the sayit™ product range and the wider issue of potential computer use by Motor Neurone Disease Patients.
