Based on the excellent feedback provided by our users we have enhanced the sayit suite to provide faster, easier
communicative power to you. We have realeased a trial preview of sayit 3 for download.
Read on to learn what's new in sayit 3.
sayit 3 comes with a wonderful list of enhancements including;
Word Prediction
In addition to word completion sayit now offers word prediction. When you start to enter a word
sayit will update the vocabulary match list to display words that start with the characters you
have entered, if the word you're creating appears in the list you can
select it and it is appended to the text you are creating - this is word completion.

When you start sayit, enter a space, enter a new line or certain punctuation characters, sayit will display
a list of words in the vocabulary match that commonly follow the last word you entered - this is word prediction.
sayit also understands that certain words are commonly followed by punctuation characters, and vice-versa, as such
sayit will show punctuation characters in the prediction list, and also words to follow punctuation characters when
they are entered.

sayit also learns what words you use most often and when you use them, so the more you use sayit the more relative to
you the completion and prediction lists become.
High Contrast Colour
sayit has a new high contrast colour scheme to allow the user to easily identify the active part of the sayit window.
sayit is now all white and, in the case of Scanner uses yellow as the highlight colour thus making it easy to identify
all labels whether active or not.
Improved Scanning Technique
sayit Scanner has a whole new way of scanning that decreases the amount of time required to generate text. The Scanner
window is broken into four logical groups, letters, text actions, menu actions, vocabulary matches and shortcut matches.
Scanner initially scans groups first, then in response to user input enters a group and scans the rows or columns of that group.
On each input Scanner drills further down until ultimately some sort of action is performed such as appending a letter or matching
a shortcut or some vocabulary. Scanner returns to group scan mode after two iterations through a groups rows or a rows columns, thus
if you make a mistake you don't wait long for Scanner to allow you to try again.

Point & Click
Sufferers of any illness have some days that are better than others, for users of sayit Scanner
that may be mobility impaired and levitate between good and bad days we have introduced
a Point & Click mode. This allows the user to use a normal mouse and click on the desired action they want
to perform.
Screen Layout Options
sayit Scanner is now available with two different layouts and the ability to switch between them at anytime.
Scanner has the traditional alphabetical layout for users that are familiar with older versions or users that
find it easier to locate letters that way. In addition sayit Scanner now comes with a layout that orders the
letters in terms of their frequency of use in the english language. So letters that are most frequent appear
near the top left corner of the letters group reducing the amount of time to select them.
