sayit™is a set of three software tools that help facilitate communication for the speech and mobility impaired:

• sayit™ Orator, which helps generate words and phrases to assist with spoken communication
• sayit™ Scanner, a keyboard substitute, for those who lack sufficient fine motor skills in fingers and hands to effectively enter text in the traditional way
• sayit™ Mouse, which provides a simple and easy navigation tool to use the whole computer, eg. to open an application.

sayit™ has word prediction and completion facilities and automatically adds new words as they are generated. As you create a word sayit™ generates a list of possible words that you may be creating, simply select the word you're after when it appears. As you enter more characters sayit™ updates the list accordingly. When a word is completed the list is updated to display the most common words that follow the last word entered. If you enter a word that sayit™ does not know about it adds that word to the vocabulary so next time you begin to create that word it will appear in the completion list. sayit™ initially comes with over 35,000 words.

sayit™ Mouse is used to access the whole computer and all its installed software and can be used even with very little fine motor skill or co-ordination in fingers or hands. This includes opening files - eg. a word processing document, a spreadsheet document - or using parts of the software - eg. an accounting package, or a web browser.

sayit™ Scanner and Mouse include mechanisms that detect accidental input from the user providing greater user control. They work with a range of input devices that require little or no movement. To see an overview of some of these devices click here.

In summary sayit™ is purpose-built software that runs on any laptop or desktop computer that uses the Windows 98 or later Operating System. This includes Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP.
